Seares is a smart-tech company that develops and manufactures Seadamps, innovative nautical mooring dampers with hydraulic technology that makes moorings more stable, quieter and safer, and mechatronic technology that adds smart and IoT functionalities to allow remote monitoring and energy recovery from sea waves.

The company’s name derives from the combination of the English word “Sea” and “Res” which means both “research” in English and “thing, wealth” in Latin: so, research applied to ‘things of the sea’.

Seares technology is employed on any kind of mooring, from boats of a few tonnes up to large offshore installations such as offshore wind, floating PV and aquaculture plants.
Seadamps are unique, since capable of:

  • stabilising any floating body;
  • remotely monitoring the plant status;
  • generating electricity by converting wave energy.

Our dampers with SMART technology are subdivided into Seadamp PLUS, for moorings upperwater, and Seadamp FX for moorings underwater
